Laser engraving is a process of using a highly focused laser to impart a logo or image into a product. There are three main methods, each used in accordance with the product type to achieve the optimal outcome.
Pad printing is a method of using a special machine with a plate that effectively “stamps” the product. Almost any non porous surface can be pad printed, various types of ink are used for different products.
Screenprinting is the oldest method of printing. Ink is applied to a porous silk screen and passes through a stencil or template to leave an impression. Normally used when printing on fabric and banners and when printing on board that is too thick to pass through a standard litho print press. It can also be used on larger products like compendiums, umbrella’s and bags.
